Yes, and thats where I guess our opinions differ. I believe gsoc to be
more of a stepping stone and that projects benefit more from getting
long term contributors, rather than N number of decoders (where N =
No. of allotted slots). I guess I dont look at it like a one-time
bounty/paid job. I'm sure you and maybe others will disagree, but
thats fine, we are all entitled to our opinions and interpretation of
the "gsoc manifesto".
I'm no longer a student (atleast for the time being) so the good news
is you won't have to worry about me living up to the gsoc terms and
conditions. And ofcourse If i someday were to submit a gsoc
application for ffmpeg, please feel free to quote this text and
reject me :)
