[00:03] <heffer2k02> Hello. Looking at ffmpeg/docs/example/remuxer.c, libavformat seems to double the time_base of the video stream. In fact if you keep remuxing an mp4 to an mp4 eventually it breaks as time_base overflows. Any ideas why this happens and if I can force lavf to keep the same time_base as the input?
[01:10] <cone-105> ffmpeg.git 03Manfred Georg 07master:79551d2c7a77: avcodec/utils: Force mutex to NULL after destruction.
[09:17] <cehoyos> hawken: Please get in touch with Jochen Britz and ask him about the license of h264_mvc.c
[09:17] <cehoyos> I had asked about this in the past, I am not sure if I ever received an answer.
[09:19] <cehoyos> And I am really, really convinced that "he added the file to FFmpeg sources, it has to be LGPL" is a sufficient argument=-((
[09:19] <cehoyos> If you cannot get in touch with him, I don't think it makes any sense to work on the code...
[09:21] <hawken> cehoyos: mhm. The code is really outdated and merging it with the newest commits is a ton of work..
[09:21] <cehoyos> Correction: If you cannot get in touch with him, please contact me, I found contact information.
[09:21] <hawken> ;P
[09:22] <cehoyos> I understand (and know): I just wanted to make sure you are not doing "a ton of work" and the resulting code can not only not be merged but also "poisons" our efforts.
[09:22] <hawken> Mhm
[09:23] <cehoyos> Slightly related: You committed code to your repository under your name (with you as author) that I believe you have not written.
[09:23] <hawken> it's true
[09:24] <hawken> and well I don't know how all of this works but I tried to give credit.. the thing is what Britz did was chmod 755 every file in ffmpeg
[09:25] <hawken> Meh, I'll just start over :P
[09:26] <cehoyos> I do remember that his patches were mostly unusable, I just wanted to make sure you understand that before you continue to put work into this, you ask him if he intended to use a compatible license for the source file he added.
[09:27] <hawken> Okay, where do I look for his contact information
[09:27] <cehoyos> Try this: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.ffmpeg.devel/146286
[09:27] <cehoyos> If you don't receive an answer, send me an email, I found a telephone number.
[09:27] <cehoyos> (Do you speak German?)
[09:28] <hawken> Found it :P
[09:28] <hawken> http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2012-June/126139.html
[09:28] <hawken> Norwegian
[09:28] <cehoyos> I could call him, but sending him an email asking for a short message to ffmpeg-devel with a clarification would be the easiest thing to do.
[09:29] <cehoyos> ... convinced that "he added the file to FFmpeg sources, it has to be LGPL" is *not* a sufficient argument
