Hi ppl,
I hope my problem is more close to developers than users.
I'm using FreeBSD 4.11:
# uname -a
FreeBSD steves.home 4.11-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.11-RELEASE #0: Sat Apr 9 17:05:12 CEST 2005 root at steves.home:/usr/src/sys/compile/STEVES i386
I've installed ffmpeg (version 0.4.9-pre1, build 4718) from ports but when ffserver is started it exits immediately with:
# ffserver -f ffserver.conf
Floating exception (core dumped)
#
kernel: pid 128 (ffserver), uid 0: exited on signal 8 (core dumped)
configuration file is the sample from distro without change..
la /tmp/feed1.ffm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4K Apr 9 19:06 /tmp/feed1.ffm
When the ffserver is started again (the file feed1.ffm exists), it seems to work fine, it is accesible via browser, but until the ffmpeg is started, or the test1.mpg is accessed.
If the file is removed and ffserver started the situation repeates.
I've tried couple of changes in compilation parameters, and the same problem is on FreeBSD 5.4-RC1
I can't find any resources about this problem, seems I'm the only one having this problem.
Thanks for any help.
bye,
Steve
