This doesn't really belong to that *developer* mailing list.

However...

Old versions of WM used to stream over http, and asfrecorder did a good 
job, but not anymore. ffmpeg might also be able to get it 
(ffmpeg -f asf -i http://....asf)

You can also seek for mmsclient.
