try this (in one commandline)
g++ -o avcodec_sample avcodec_sample.cpp
-Ic:/ffmpeg/libavcodec -Ic:/ffmpeg/libavformat
-Lc:/ffmpeg/libavcodec -Lc:/ffmpeg/libavformat
-lavformat -lavcodec -lz
This should work.
