[Ffmpeg-devel] List of output formats/codecs?

For the former, unless I'm misunderstanding how it works, 'ffmpeg
-formats' should do what you want. For the latter, not as far as I know.

Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason you're wanting to use
the ffmpeg binary itself, iather than libavcodec as a library?
