None of the libs I've come accross (used in FFmpeg) do this. And they're 
not supposed to anyways.
If they did, we'd need to pass extra LDFLAGS (one for each lib) to 
compile every program that needs another library.

Windows users should just set their PATH to include the <prefix>/lib 
folder if they use shared libraries.
