Just to make it clear -- I don't care how industry names things,
but the fact that these 3 flavors of DV have the same picture encoding
algorithms with small amount of knobs designed to address bitstream
constraints and differences in sampling -- make them all just a DV
codec in my book. Now, I do understand the convenience factor of having
them as separate codecs -- but lets not be confused by the ffmpeg's
current restrictions.
Now, DVCPRO 100 is, in fact a different CODEC regardless of the name
being similar to the DVCPRO 50.
Thanks,
Roman.
