i solved it...just if someone finds this result on google with the same question. 

--enable-gpl

i havent done any c programming for a while.

to me it looks like it would save lots of time of "newbees" and geeks alike to have some sort of software quality guidelines for handling exception and coping with errors....it is better to invest the saved time in development then in debugging.

when i look at the archive most of the problems and issues are a direct result of the software quality - you build your own grave that way.

but dont take it amiss. I appreciate your efforts and the existence of ffmpeg...
