[Ffmpeg-devel] About pipe in ffmpeg

Hi,
I want to use FFMPEG to transcode a video to another
format,
the input data will be a stream, 
and I also want to output the transcoded data to the
stream,
how can I implement this feature?
is it possible to use pipe?
if so, can anyone give me some sample code or idea?
