Rereading I see your point, better a broken diagnostic with just false
negative from time to time than anything at all.

We shouldn't rely on it to verify this code, but if we expect to be ok
for linux/macosx but MAY fail for unknown reasons then it has somewhat
more sense. I expect to not fail on standard setups...
