Should have written "CANT" of course. Meaning that ffplay is way too quiet.

Actually, *anything* useful in the 'input' part of ffmpeg, and in its 
output messages, should be in ffplay too. And that's a big job.

Personnally I would favor downgrading ffplay from 'supported app' to 
'programming example'. People who need a serious player wont use ffplay 
anyway!
