[FFmpeg-devel] http protocol

Hello,
 
I am trying to build a small app which uses ffmpeg and can play ( decode ) various media. I was able to successfully handle local files via ffmpeg but I have problems accessing online media ( such as http ). I am not sure why or what has to be done in order the already existing http protocol implementation to work. Does anyone has expirience with this?
