I am sorry, but I really don't have time.  ffmpeg is not my world
these days.  however, I have heard ramblings about someone in OpenBSD
trying to add -A to od and -p to nm ... and the work Reimar has done
is of course helpful.  I will try to answer Diego's questions about
the configure patches, but then I'm probably off this list.

nothing personal.  I have switched focus to audio infrastructure
already months ago and haven't found the time to keep up with ffmpeg.
much less making sure I didn't just catch some silly mistake in
the ckeckout that was fixed minutes later ...

but this thread did remind me of how much time updates have always
taken ...
