[FFmpeg-devel] vfw codec support in libavcodec

Hello,

When compiling ffmpeg on a windows box, I saw that it had support for VFW 
capture devices through libavdevice. That's nice but I wondered if codec 
output was desirable ?

If I submitted a VFW output codec for libavcodec, would it stand a chance 
to be merged after proper review ? Or is that feature something you would 
refuse to support ?

If the answer is positive, then i'll start hacking and submitting a patch
as soon as possible.
