I bet you are trying to use ffmpeg, not to send a patch to fix a bug/add 
a new feature. In this case, this is the wrong list, post to ffmpeg-user.

But *before* posting anything to any ffmpeg mailing list again, re-read 
the first paragraph of http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/mailinglists.html , 
specially the part about thread-hijacking (what you just did) and 
top-posting (follow the links!).
