Attached patches remove unnecessary calls to show_help() and improve
the ffmpeg.c corresponding messages making them more grammatically
correct (also using an impersonal form which seems preferred in the
other messages).

As for the missing periods I'll eventually provide a global patch for
that if Diego wants it.
