upload a sample somewhere like
ftp://upload.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming
with a filename like mpeg2-pcm-misdetect.mpg
follow http://ffmpeg.org/bugreports.html

and you are on the wrong mailing list, this is for patches only.
use ffmpeg-user instead.
