What I mean is something which would add to the committed log the
version of the libraries whose number has been updated.
For example:

|Implement postproc_version().
|
|libpostproc updated version: 51.2.0
 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This would be added by the SVN hook.

I'm not sure it's possible to implement such a thing with SVN, but I
think so.
