I mean that there is A and B and I cannot decide which is better it
should be possible to assign the same number of point to each of them.
Also there could be C, which I like less but which is better than the
other ones, so I could assign the points like this:
A -> 3
B -> 3
C -> 1
others -> 0
I'm not saying that we should re-start the vote just for this.

Well this is not supported by the current voting system, where each
position has a corresponding assigned number of points.

Since I believe that re-design the voting system would be overkill, I
suggest to simply redefine the list of preferences, which should
contain an explicit mention of the official, short and domain name,
and add all the newly added preferences, and then start again the
vote.
This should at least address some of the Diego's objections and make
happy who made late proposals.
My suggestions:
* official-name: Free Multimedia Technology Foundation
short-name : freemediatech
* official-name: Foundation for Free Multimedia Technology
short-name : FFMTech
* official-name: Foundation for Free Multimedia
short-name : ffmedia
* official-name: Open Multimedia Foundation
short-name : OMF
* official-name: Open Multimedia Technology Foundation
short-name : OMTF
* official-name: Foundation for Free Multimedia
short-name : FFM
* official-name: FFmpeg Foundation
short-name : FFF / FFFoundation ?
* official-name: Fast Forward Multimedia Foundation
short-name : FFMF ?
* official-name: Fast Forward Multimedia Technology Foundation
short-name : FFMTF / FFMediaTech / FFMTech ?
The domain-name should default to the lowcased shortname with the
".org" suffix, e.g. FFMTech -> ffmtech.org.
If there are not other devs which stand for this, I won't bikeshed
with this anymore, also I don't particularly dislike the most
favorited names and we can adjust the official name issue when the
winner is choosen.
(Note: I may not be responsive in the next few days).
Regards.
