Heres my vote
1. FFmedia (Foundation for Free Multimedia)
2. FFm.org (Foundation for Free Multimedia)
3. FFmpeg Foundation
4. Free Multimedia Tech / freemediatech.org
if anyone is curious why i vote in this order, i think that:
OMF sucks because of "open" isnt the semantic correct meaning for us
"fast forward" is meaningless for everyone except ~50 people on this planet
who associate it with ffmpeg
FFMTech (Foundation for Free Multimedia Technologies) is too long, i am
a lazy person and i dont want to write or have to say this. Besides i
also feel its too complex and goes in too much detail.
also about the MM tech. vs MM i think free multimedia implicates free
multimedia technology and is perfectly fine as name, we can clarify this
in some kind of about/descriptionn if people feel the need.
But the name really should be kept short and FFMTech is the longest of
all options ...
It looks like FFMTech is winning currently though but its narrow
FFmpeg Foundation isnt bad but it doesnt say that much to the average
person of what the goals of the foundation are, well not everyone knows
what ffmpeg is, but at least it is short and simple :)
