People or encoders? :-) mencoder for example. If only the ffmpeg ripoffs
quality was a bit higher, we could double-rip it to implement extra
functionality to the core :D  (like the samsung's version with a few extra
goodies, but that's yet to be discovered).

btw: imtoo dvd ripper.. seen it recently, installed and it's 100% ffmpeg +
gui, sold commercially.
