Thanks. That should do exactly what I need (and is a better solution than
making a change that will break existing functionality). That should have
occurred to me (at least to try) but I've only ever used tail for
checking/watching log files, never for piping output through it.
So that's another thing I've learned today :-). Must be time for bed now,
before the brain generates an overflow error ;-).
