Hello FFmpeg developers!

Are there any news of a possible Pro-Res implementation in FFmpeg?

We use a computer in our small studio for uncompressed HD-recordings,
but are currently using Avid with DNxHD codec. We would very much like
to deliver Pro-Res files from this machine, but currently there are no
ways of encoding Pro Res files on any other platform than Mac.

An implementation of Pro-Res in FFmpeg would be a fantastic
improvement in workflow for a lot of people.

Google guided me to a thread on possible sponsorship of a developer,
for implementing Pro-Res. Any news on the progress?
