You don't have to write the actual optimizations, just the interface
so others can write optimizations. But feel free to apply, we can do
that too and this wouldn't be the slowest filter in a pipeline. More
relevant for yadif or so. But I still think it's nice if you know how
to set it up, saves others (those wanting to write optimizations)
having to do that.

In fact, we should maintain a list of easy optimizations for those
interested... Didn't Michael once bring that up also?
