Does the QT specs say anything about the encoding ?
Long since I read it...
When I'm not sure about an encoding I usually assume and check for UTF-
8, and if invalid assume latin-1 and convert from this.
Still, I'm sure we'll find some people putting Shift-JIS or other stuff
inside...
