It's been in our codebase for a few years without people complaining.
That I suppose doesn't need to mean anything since i don't know
how much it's been used. 

I tested it when i added it with just a few nuv files. Mainly the
ones from mplayer samples + some others (it was part of the
seeking patch).

I only rechecked it very quickly right now not noticing any issues
on the sample i tried.
