I think there is a GSoC for "avserver" on the fork side. I'd propose to
wait a bit before working on it if we want to avoid pointless work
(because I wonder if they won't start rewriting from scratch something
like "avservnih" or something).
Note: I'll push the patchset (minus libavfilter → filters patch) in a few
hours.
