Note that I don't mind to reverting this if the interested parties are
against it, or are just happy to intentionally contribute to FFmpeg. But
AFAICT they don't want to be associated with little downstream projects,
and I'm also afraid of the deprecated and other nonsense speeches from
people directly linked from a ffmpeg.org page.
