There are a bunch of fixes, codec(s), and filter(s) that the main
branch does want, and some attempts have been made to backport[0].
One particular instance (involving devs from Libav) resulted in
a nasty response from Baptiste and allegations of "stealing code".

At this point in time the project just seems like a monetization
strategy for Baptiste, and nothing more.
