No, but I was thinking of the chain NV12 -> YUV420P -> NV12.

Yes, outputting NV12 when YUV420P is expected/requested will incur an
extra, slower, conversion.

I would have implemented NV12 output out of curiosity, but there's
very little interest, and potential for more trouble than benefit, so
I'm dropping the idea.
