to clarify this a bit (its impled above but better to say it
explicitly so its not misunderstood)

You need to be listed in MAINTAINERs AND actually also maintain the
code (like fix (fixable) reported bugs related to the code in question)
to get git write account. Because if you dont maintain the code you
wouldnt need a git write account
