Looks like you guys have some experience with this! I was reading up a
bunch about line-buffering vs full-buffering vs no-buffering when two
applications talk using stdout/stdin, but nothing really seemed to help me.
Do you have any pointers regarding this (even if it is in different
context) that may help me out here?

Any help is much appreciated!
