I don't think this patch is a good idea.
Removing ffserver now would be a regression for anyone using it, but on the
other hand would have no benefit, since the library cleanup cannot happen
before the next major bump.
Thus this patch has a net-negative effect.

Why can't you wait for the next major bump?
