Honestly, from the outside, I see nothing offensive and/or annoying in
James' comments. Maybe I am missing some context, but I see only two
straightforward technical claims.
Furthermore, I do not remember having ever observed in James' messages
the intent to be offensive or annoying.
In fact, in my eye, it is your message that seems annoying:
misunderstanding on purpose used as a sarcasm. If you were feeling
offended, it was an understandable reaction, but it can still be felt as
annoying if there was no intent to offense.
Can we please assume goodwill unless we have strong evidence otherwise?
