Then, if it is in private, how is that a community problem?
People have the rights of their opinions.

A conference where you paid NOTHING and got your flights + hotels paid to the other side of the world, while you are inactive on all open source projects.

You are welcome to come to VideoLAN General Assembly to ask about VideoLAN management, which is quite off-topic here.
A contrario from what you and what Michael seem to imply, VDD in Korea was a huge success, with more than 85 attendees from all around the world, with lots of discussions, lots of different backgrounds, very good technical talks and full rooms about technical discussions, including more than 40 people in the FFmpeg discussion room, and people loved the assembly teaching discussions
Most people did not have to spend a Euro to get to the other side of the world.
We got only complaints to the Board about YOUR attitude during the week-end and YOUR single complaint about a PRIVATE discussion. The Board discussed, within the hour, and decided that all those complaints only deserve small warnings, or apologies.
Your implications are outrageous, and people from VideoLAN have been very nice to you, and quite tolerant.
VDD in Korea was awesome. You wanted to not like it, and you did not.
