You definitely prefer that, that part is clear. However the community at
large prefers something else. Since you stepped down from leadership, you
don't decide how things are run any more. There is a process to decide
things, and undermining that is not proper of any developer, *in my
opinion*.

The naive way would be to have rules and follow them.
Why is Thilo managing the booths? Who appointed him? Who checks on how the
ffmpeg is represented?
Who decides which trade shows should be manned? It can't be just "because
Thilo felt so, right?
Don't you think the community ought to know that ffmpeg is being
represented at a tradeshow?

More importantly, why are you defending him over this, after the booth at
NAB was already booked without even telling the community, and attacking me
for trying to bring some clarity instead???

Having Thilo participate in the rule definition of something he likes to do
would be definitely a step in the right direction.
I don't know how else to get his attention, if you have a way to connect
with him, please let him know of the thread.

Be a good example and go do that.
Or maybe let's add a rule that there should be two people going to avoid
this skibidi toilet scenario.
