Note that even people who never payed any taxes in their adult life can
vote. So by this argument, people who only took what is offered and
never contributed should have a say in the direction of the project.

As you just said: We are not interested in more conspiracy theories
bordering on slander.

The real question is: why do some people, starting with you, believe
that democracy is a good leadership system for our project? Why do you
believe that somebody who fixed 20 typos in comments should have as much
power over the direction of the project as somebody who knows multiple
subsystems inside-out and maintains them?
