[FFmpeg-user] creating a transparent Video from PNG or Gif files

Hi all,

I have another question: I have tried to create a video file from images which works fine, but the transparency is lost during conversion.
I want to use the created file as overlay for the main video.

So is it possible to create an transparent Video with ffmpeg?
Has anybody done something like that ? how ?
