Right, I forgot that 30 is default (iiuc)

Sure, but the command for which output (or info about fps) is needed is:
ffmpeg -f x11grab -s 1280x800 -i :0.0 -f null -qscale 2 -threads 1 -vcodec
mpeg1video -
