This error can show up if ffmpeg can not find libvpx, such as if you
did not actually install it. Excuse the obvious question, but did you
actually install libvpx successfully?

Check to see if you have:
/usr/include/vpx/vpx_decoder.h
or
/usr/local/include/vpx/vpx_decoder.h
or wherever you decided to install it.
