You could encode the videos (not using -vcodec copy), 
as a side-effect this will make the output files a 
magnitude smaller.
I suspect FFmpeg should tell QuickTime that the 
content of the file is full-scale but I am not sure 
if this is possible. (The colr atom maybe?)
