This file needs seeking because its moov atom is at 
the end of the file, seeking is impossible in the pipe.

You can use tools/qt-faststart to produce a file that 
you can pipe:
$ tools/qt-faststart child.mov out.mov
$ cat out.mov|./ffprobe -
