[FFmpeg-user] x11 window capture

Hello everyone

I need to capture applications in Linux using ffmpeg(not the whole desktop
or a region of it). Is there a way to do this currently?
The reason I do not want to just capture a region is that other windows can
cover that application and the user can also move and resize the window.

I know this is possible using Xcomposite

lack experience in C++, I would feel more comfortable with python.
