[FFmpeg-user] Waveform turns out grey

I'm using this command to create a waveform:
 -i "input.wav" -filter_complex
"compand,showwavespic=s=905x56:colors=white" -frames:v 1 "waveform.png" -y
Most of the time it works just fine, but sometimes (especially when the
audio is long) it turns out grey (like the one attached) and I don't know
why.
Any idea on how to fix it?
