i switched 19 years ago from Windows XP to Fedora and i am pretty happy
frankly everytime touching a Windows system makes me ill

i don't want to be Linux like Apple or Windows because if that would 
make sense for me i would use one of them

have you ever considered that you are just not the target audience?
