what is that supposed to mean?

Excuse me, I _am_ a user*. I do not work on the ffmpeg code although
after a few decades of writing code, sometimes in 'c', I can generally
read it.
*everyone using a computer is a 'user' of something, some have a better
understanding of how the systems work.

No, you're supposed to use the tools available to find information that
may lead you to an understanding. Demanding answers with no apparent
effort to find them yourself comes across as lazy and inconsiderate.
Simply searching 'ffmpeg "sost"' turns up multiple hits that indicate
that subtitles are involved; they may not answer the question directly,
but they point that direction. So will searching "dvdsub format". That
and #0.2 is another good indicator that stream 0.2, which happens to be
subtitles, is a probably source of the error.
If you're going to use a complex & powerful tool, it behooves you to
both know that it -is- powerful & complex and to treat it as such. If
you don't want the hassle of it, use Handbrake or some other UI.
BTW, I also run windoze systems on-line but behind a firewall. This is
not a problem. Heck, even behind a NAT router can give a good deal of
protection, as can a decent virus scanner. (You can hobble your own
setup, but don't complain about what it can't do.)
Later,
z!
