[MEncoder-users] Poor performance with x86_64

Hello!

First my short specs:
A64 3500+ (2200MHz), 2GB RAM, 2.6.10, Gentoo, 64bit-system

I only get 11fps when encoding DV (from dvgrab) to XviD. That is very slow...
The commandline:
mencoder *.mov -oac mp3lame -ovc xvid -lameopts br=64:mode=3
-xvidencopts bitrate=700 -o something.avi

The 32bit-version (in a chroot) exists with segfault, so I can't compare.

Please tell me where the error could be. Thanks!
