the hardware players follow the ifo files for titles/tracks
the software players mostly follow the .vob files on the disc...
dvd:// does the latter, dvdnav:// does the former ?
at least i think
you tried mplayer dvd://1-20 and dvdnav://1-20? (yes '1-20'. dont do
dvd://1 dvd://2 do dvd://1-20...)
