but DO NOT commit it now.
maek a patch, send it to -dev-eng, and wait to testers.
i want to hear that it works on linux variants, *bsd, solaris, c64,
teapot, cola bottle etc. then it can be commited later.
but please don't do it for external libs, at least for the still
maintained ones (libmpeg2, loader, libavcodec), instead ask their
author...
